Gym to Crag: The Basics

The Gym to Crag program is designed to teach indoor climbers the skills and knowledge to safely transition to outdoor climbing.  While some indoor climbers may be very proficient in the gym, outdoor climbing has a number of other considerations and responsibilities.  Our goal is to educate and prepare our climbers who are ready to make the move to the great outdoors.

The term “outdoor climbing” is a very broad label which encompasses many different styles of climbing and skill sets.  Because of this, our Gym to Crag program is split up into multiple classes and workshops that cover a wide array of topics ranging from the basics to big wall.

Gym to Crag: The Basics is the foundation of the Gym to Crag program and will teach you fundamental knowledge that will later be built upon in the subsequent classes and workshops.  This class will cover topics such as…
