Basics of Climbing Youth Camp

Similar to the first day of the Adventure Camp, the day will cover topics such as: Bouldering, auto-belays, knot tying, top roping, types of outdoor climbing, climbing games, open climbing, cool down, and climbing vernacular.  All students will be given a section of climbing rope to take home and practice their newly learned knots.

 

Some things to note…

-Lunch will be provided for students.

-Price includes full access the the facility and rental gear.

-Staff to student ratio will be a minimum of 1:8.

-This camp if for kids between the ages of 6-12 years old.

-Everyone who remains in the building (climbers and spectators) must have a participant agreement on file.  There are no exceptions to this rule.

-Cost:

—$110 for the first child (includes lunch).

—$85 for each additional child (includes lunch).

—Early drop off/late pick up: 7:00 am to 9:00 am and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm costs $15 per 30 mins per day.

Want your little one to try something new and different?  Our toddler rock climbing camps may be just the ticket.

 

This camp is designed for kids between the ages of 3 and 5 years old with activities centered around rock climbing.

-Price includes full access the the facility and rental gear.

Approach has partnered with other local businesses The Neighborhood Offshore, Grover Ice, and Canfield’s Sporting Goods to host a four day adventure camp for youth. This camp will include activities such as rock climbing, backpacking, water sports, and ice skating.

Overnight Climbing Camp (Boys)

Have a kiddo that doesn’t want to leave the climbing wall at the end of the day?  Spend the night with us at the climbing gym!  There will be plenty of climbing late into the night and other fun activities as well.  In the morning, we’ll have breakfast together and talk climbing!

 

Things to note…

–This camp is designed for ages 6 to 12 years old.

–Girls will be the night of July 8th.

–Boys will be the night of July 22.

–Staff to student ratio will be a minimum of 1:8.

–Cost…

—-$130 (with breakfast) for the first child.
